Robert J. Greenberg M.D., Ph.D. joined huMannity (formerly Alfred Mann Foundation) in 1998, was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2004 and became its Chairman and CEO in 2021. He was a co-founder and former CEO and Chairman of the Board of Second Sight Medical Products, Inc. (formerly NASDAQ: EYES) in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Greenberg is a leader in the field of neural prosthetics—having developed and brought to market the world’s most advanced implantable neural stimulator at the time, the Argus II visual prostheses, to treat retinitis pigmentosa, a form of blindness. At Second Sight, he also oversaw the successful development and human implantation of a wireless cortical visual prosthesis, the Orion, which has the potential to treat nearly all forms of blindness and other brain diseases. Dr. Greenberg was also an Independent Director at Pulse Biosciences (NASDAQ: PLSE), a company developing therapies based on nanosecond pulsed electric field technologies for oncology and dermatology applications. He was previously a medical reviewer at the FDA’s Office of Device Evaluation. Since 2001, he has also been the Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Southern California Biomedical Council, a nonprofit trade association supporting the healthcare industry in the Greater Los Angeles region. Dr. Greenberg is the recipient of numerous honors and awards, has over 260 issued US patents and over 100 international patents, and has published over 60 articles. He received MD and PhD degrees from The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He has been a member of the New York Academy of Sciences, a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors, and a Fellow of the IEEE.

Ms. Boroomand has over 30 years of experience in accounting, financial management and reporting, the vast majority of which has been in the medical device industry. She joined huMannity (formerly Alfred Mann Foundation) in 2001 as Controller, and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2010. Before joining AMF, Farah worked for Advanced Bionics, a leader in the field of hearing and cochlear implant technology, for 6 years. Prior to that, she served as Sr. Financial Analyst at Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense. Farah received her degree in Applied Math from UCLA.

Ms. Dishmon is a med tech executive with over 25 years of healthcare experience, primarily in the medical device, IVD and biotech spaces. She has practiced corporate law (commercial, M&A, IP, Regulatory) both in private practice and in-house. Before joining huMannity, Corey served as General Counsel and Head of Business Development at Siemens Healthineers, Global Molecular Diagnostics. Prior to that, she was Assistant General Counsel at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and before then led Legal, IP and HR at Monogram Biosciences ( now LabCorp). Corey holds a Juris Doctorate from UC Berkeley, School of Law.

John brings to the team 28 years of combined R&D Engineering and People Management experience within the Semiconductor Test and Medical Device industries. John’s successes include managing development teams (local and remote) in developing High Speed Test and Class III Implantable Spinal Cord and Deep Brain Stimulation systems. John’s management experience spans across Software, Firmware, Electrical Engineering, MRI Safety, and Mechanical Engineering departments. John recently held the role of Senior Director of R&D at Boston Scientific–Neuromodulation. John has a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering/Computer Science from CSU Long Beach and holds patents related to implantable Neuromodulation device technologies.

Mr. Navarro has over 20 years Regulatory Affairs experience in neuromodulation (pudendal nerve, pain management, middle ear and cochlear implant) devices. He has led global Clinical Research and Regulatory Affairs teams in achieving device approvals for Class III active implantable devices and Clinical activities in the United States, Europe, and China. With FDA, led the effort to create the first U.S. cochlear implant standard focused on device performance, patient outcomes, and reliability reporting. Cedric co-chaired the AAMI Cochlear Implant Committee for seven years. Developed the Clin/Reg strategy, which led to the only cochlear implant selected to participate in the HaiNan fast track approval process.

Ms. Klein has over 25 years of diversified global experience in Class III medical devices, including 16 years at St. Jude Medical in clinical study management and clinical operations leadership roles. She began her career with Telectronics Pacing Systems in France as their Field Clinical Engineering Manager, and then relocated to the United States to work for Clinical Affairs at St. Jude Medical’s Cardiac Rhythm Management Division in California. She graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, and received a Master of Science in Regulatory Affairs for Drugs, Biologics and Medical Devices from Northeastern University. Ms. Klein joined huMannity (formerly Alfred Mann Foundation) in 2013 as Director of Clinical Affairs.

Shawn has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of Human Resources. Most recently, he was the VP of HR at iRhythm Technologies where he led the HR Business Partner and HR Operations teams in the rapidly growing medical technology company. Prior to iRhythm, he held various global HR leadership roles at Motorola. Early in his career he gained experience in operations and product development as an engineer at General Motors. He received his JD from Northwestern University School of Law and BS in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University.

Mr. Mech, is the Vice President, Strategy for huMannity (formerly Alfred Mann Foundation). He has spent over 22 years in the medical device field, including 16 years at Second Sight Medical Products and 4+ years at Toronto-based eSight Corp. before settling into a broader consulting role following his move to the Twin Cities area in 2019. Brian has an undergraduate degree in Engineering Science (1991) and a PhD in Materials Science and Plasma Physics (1997) from the University of Toronto, and an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management (2003). Brian is an inventor on over 50 US patents.

Mr. Talbot has worked in the field of implantable neurostimulation devices, including cochlear implants and visual prostheses since 1993. After receiving his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from UC Berkeley, he joined Second Sight Medical Products, Inc. and was a major contributor to the development of the first FDA approved implantable retinal prosthesis, the Argus II. More recently he led the design team that developed the Orion 1, an implantable cortical visual prosthesis. Mr. Talbot is an inventor on 82 issued US medical device patents.

Leslie joined huMannity (formerly Alfred Mann Foundation) 2 years ago as Executive Assistant extraordinaire. She has over 20 years of experience as an EA, most recently at Starbucks Corporate and Bank of America. Mr. Waugh joined huMannity (formerly Alfred Mann Foundation) in 2008. He was formerly Corporate Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Northrop Grumman Corporation. He is a retired member of the State Bar of California and the Ohio State Bar Association. Mr. Waugh is also a retired member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Weatherwax joined huMannity (formerly Alfred Mann Foundation) in 2018 and received his BSE in Mechanical Engineering from Princeton University. After working as an engineer and risk assessor in the utility energy transmission/distribution industry, he received his JD from the University of California and clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. After joining Irell & Manella LLP in Los Angeles, he practiced as a patent litigator for ten years before co-founding Lowenstein & Weatherwax LLP, which in 2019 was ranked as the best performing law firm in history in United States Patent and Trademark Office inter partes review proceedings.

David N. Gill joined huMannity (formerly Alfred Mann Foundation) in 2020 and has over 30 years' experience in senior operating and financial roles in the medical device industry. He was most recently the President and Chief Financial Officer of EndoChoice Holdings, Inc., a publicly traded medical device company focused on gastroenterology products that was acquired in November 2016. Earlier in his career, Mr. Gill served in a variety of senior executive leadership roles for several medical device companies, including TransEnterix, NxStage Medical, CTI Molecular Imaging, Inc., Novoste Corporation and Dornier Medical Systems. Over his career, Mr. Gill has taken four companies public and raised more than $1 Billion in financing. He currently serves as a director of the following public companies: Y-mAbs Therapeutics and Evolus, as well as the private company RapidPulse Medical.

Heather Hudnut Page joined huMannity Medtec in 2023 and has over 30 years of experience in the medical device space including more than 20 years at Medtronic and her most recent role as Vice President and General Manager of Peripheral Vascular, a global business within Philips. In her business leadership roles she has acquired and integrated numerous companies driving therapy adoption and business growth. In addition to huMannity, she is currently on the advisory board for two early-stage companies and board of directors of three non-profit organizations, all focused on medical technology and improving access to care around the world.
